BUY ME NOWMaltese puppies are like sponges; they will soak up whatever behaviors or moods you convey to them. This means that if you baby them, you will have a puppy that grows into a dog that could have separation anxiety issues. On that same note, if you train your Maltese puppy early on, you will have an obedient, happy pup. Maltese puppies are fairly easy to train, given their smaller size and their quick minds.
Maltese puppies generally have a great temperment. They get along with other dogs, cats, and especially their human family. Some lines of Maltese can be a little more cautious and shy, and it is easy to see why given their tiny stature. Socialize your Maltese pup early on to help prevent the onset of anxiety around strangers.
Maltese puppies were originally bred thousands of years ago to be companions to royalty, hence their white coat. The likes of the Maltese breed have been discovered on ceramics and other pieces of artwork from Ancient Greece and Egypt. In modern times, they still seem to have this royal flair.
All our dogs are usually up-to-date on vaccines and already spayed or neutered by their shelter. They tend to have a grasp on basic commands and may have started some sort of behavior training. Good shelters and rescue groups will often work with dogs in their care to teach them to be social and well-behaved, as it increases their chances of being adopted. This is something you should ask your local shelter about. Our dogs have exercise needs and require mental stimulation. It is important that you can keep up with them. You may have to hire a dog walker if you’re gone for most of the day or a pet sitter if you travel.
The Maltese should do well on a high-quality dog food, whether commercially manufactured or home-prepared with your veterinarian’s supervision and approval.
Any diet should be appropriate to the dog’s age (puppy, adult, or senior). Some dogs are prone to getting overweight, so watch your dog’s calorie consumption and weight level.

I purchased my little Lance from Royal Maltese Home who is a breeder located in 1401 Greenbrier Pkwy, Chesapeake, VA. Linda and her family are wonderful folks I had a great visit when picking up Lance. Lance checked out just as promised.
We got our puppy “Royal Maltese” from Christ Stoltzfus in Chesapeake, VA. Christ was shipped to us after we paid for him. The puppy was well socialized – Christ makes sure they play with children, get to run around in the grass, and get exposed to dogs and cats.
I am so happy and pleased with my Puppy. The breeder was upfront about a minor health issue the puppy had. The breeders were so nice. They had all the paper work for my puppy and even supplied me with some food for him. I can tell that they worked with the puppy because he wants to go outside to go to the bathroom.
I just arrived home with my Maltese puppy 😊.I had to say good bye to my beloved Maltese after 17 years,my heart was truely broken. I made a great choice to ship and to bring home a sweet girl I had watched on video over 100 times, only to be disapointed on her fear of people.
We Love our little boy! The breeder named him “Spice”. He was 12 weeks old when we got him. His breeder was Michael & Amos Fisher of VA. Tater is a healthy, happy and very smart miniature Maltese puppy We were extremely pleased at how well adjusted he was from the day we picked him up at the airport.
Maltese are affectionate toy dogs weighing less than seven pounds, covered by a long, straight, silky coat. Beneath the all-white mantle is a compact body moving with a smooth and effortless gait. The overall picture depicts free-flowing elegance and balance. The irresistible Maltese face—with its big, dark eyes and black gumdrop nose—can conquer the most jaded sensibility.
